Discovery
At the outset of a project, Wooden Window’s project manager evaluates how to work within the contractor’s process. It is important to communicate with the GC’s contact person. In communicating with the project manager, client, architect, designer it is important to respect all those involved with the product or installation.
The process includes:
- Design and value engineering trade-offs
- Sign-off of field measurements and shop drawings
- Wood selection, glass, hardware and finishing decisions
- Delivery or installation logistics and scheduling
Definition and Design
During quoting, specification and shop drawing processes, Wooden Window’s Project Manager ensures that the production and engineering specifications meet the client’s particular requirements and include all custom details. These specifications often include:
- energy efficiency
- waterproofing
- ease of installation
- air infiltration
- sound
- safety
- security
- building code advice
- on-time schedule completion
- budget
Formal submission for architectural review or delivery of mock-ups can be part of the shop drawing process.

Dependability
Any required site work will conform with the job site’s guidelines and the EPA’s Lead Renovation requirements.
